Monday was a beautiful day to run in Portland. I had a route, pace, and distance in mind, but didn't follow any of it. I just ran kind of ran where ever and stopped when I ended back near where I started. It was fun. I ended up with 7 miles at a relaxed pace.
Perhaps I should mention a yummy, successful lunch to run on. Sam and I stopped at Mister Bagel's headed out of Gorham. I had the new french toast bagel with cream cheese and bacon. Great combination! Next time I would say light on the cream cheese, though.
Ryan (my Ryan, not Snowman) had an interesting run. Friday night someone mentioned that a Relay for Life was being held at Brown. Ryan decided to check it out. He headed down and joined, running 150 laps around the 300 meter indoor track! He said there was one other person who he knew did 125, but was pretty sure he did the most. He stopped a little after 4 am. I don't think he'd been doing runs longer than 8 miles so the 27.9 was a lot.
Sounds like a fun run, and tell Ryan nice work!
ReplyDeleteAlex will be doing the Relay this Friday. He doesn't like to run more than an hour. I told him just run 45 minutes and rest for 15 every hour.
ReplyDeleteI'll tell him, Blaine :) Your RI marathon sounds quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteDid Alex get pledges? Are any friends running with him?
No pledges, just his paid entry. Seems he said five friends were running as well.
