I really intended to write up a Riverlands race report. I also had planned so many other posts while I ran. On Ryan's birthday, I wrote (in my head) a tribute to him and musings about how we influenced each other. Squirrel and I have crewed three solo hundred adventures (not formal races). There was lots of material there. Oh well...
Meanwhile, Jeff Mikesell has continued to send me his race reports of his seemingly endless 100s. I still want to make a library of them. He includes helpful information that anyone planning on running a race would be smart to read. It also could be useful in deciding on a race.
A race or two back, he sent me a report that I feel needs to be posted on its own. Jeff, about as veteran as it gets, learned an important lesson on the trail. He is fine, but it landed him in the hospital. Here's his story: Iron Will 100.
