Scuffle Course and Turtles

No, the turtles weren't at Bradbury, but I'm still gonna write about them.  Andy was already waiting for us when Rick and I pulled into the parking lot at 8:30.  More Monsters would be running at 9 am, but we wanted to get some stuff done at the house after the run and before the Sox game.

I hope Andy enjoyed the run (at what must have been a very relaxed pace for him).  I enjoyed getting to know him a little better.  On the snowmobile trail, he looked like he wanted, maybe needed, to just run.  I basically told him to go for it.  Rick and I continued on at our easy pace, even stopping for a photo op (I'm trying to get a good picture for the blog header...I love the ocean scene, but feel like a shot at Bradbury would be much more representative.  Notice, however, it's still the same pic : ( )

Andy, post-run

Andy was waiting at his truck to say bye.  Then I noticed the coolest dog and struck up a conversation with her person.  Turns out she was the mom (probably chauffeur) for a kid running with Ian and Emma.

Rick and I didn't even go to E & L's ....stuff to get done.

Later, walking Spot, I found two turtles laying their eggs not 15 feet apart.  One was the largest painted turtle I'd ever seen.  Had to run back to the house to get the camera.  When I returned, the big turtle was gone, the nest empty.  Perhaps I made her nervous.  Still got the other one.
