Rick and I headed to Thorncrag this morning planning on a 5 mile run. It was pretty chilly with a cold breeze; for the first mile, I regretted not having a headband over my ears. We ran the same course that I ran the week before with some TMs. A few people were out walking, no doubt trying to walk off some of the coming calories.
Rick's fitness is markedly better. We hadn't run Thorncrag together in a while and I was impressed! I brought the camera along again. The pictures don't do it justice, but they're better than nothing.
Looks like those people spent all their money on the fireplace and didn't have anything left to build the house.
ReplyDeleteI was looking at the pics before I saw you wrote about Rick's fitness getting better, and I was seriously thinking the same thing. Just seems like his running is getting stronger the past few times I saw him, and while he has always looked fit, he's looking more so. Cool! Glad you guys had a great Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteSo is being on the trails and off the roads making the difference for Rick? It seems to me if I want to avoid overuse injuries and do more than 35 miles a week I need to be off road.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jamie. Sounds like you had a really great run and Tday, too : )
ReplyDeleteWell, John, I'm not sure what Rick's doing differently than before (he did point out he's taking vitamin D now). Whatever it is, lets hope it continues!
Looks like a great run! Glad Rick is doing well too - woohoo! Thorncrag looks like fun - can't wait to join you up there this winter!
ReplyDeleteYou'll love it!
