A Different Kind of Scuffle

Rick and I headed to Bradbury this chilly morning. Since we were thinking 5 to 7 miles, we decided on the Scuffle course. I brought the camera. I hope the shots capture the fact that the trail looks like a totally different place in the late Fall than when we run the race. It was just so open with all the leaves off the trees.

There weren't as many downed trees on these trails compared to the mountain side.

I found a nice tree stump to use as a comfy place to pee. Good thing there weren't many people out...it's right on the trail.

Lots of frost in the ground and a few places that made me think screw shoes are just around the corner. The best part of the run was running it all with Rick and having him feel like he's getting back to form. He did say he's only running the "O" trail once a year...during the Bruiser!

  3. No wonder the moss is so green! The stump must be a popular stop.
