It happens very infrequently, but I'm letting this nasty weather keep me from my run today. I've justified it in a few ways: 1. I can't see how the 4 miles on my schedule are that important, 2. My stomach has been blah the last couple of days, 3. I'm doing my long run 2 days earlier in order to fit in picking up Ryan and so could use another day off.
Still feel slightly guilty.
A little guilt is a good sign! But days off are healthy. No justification needed.
ReplyDeleteNo guilt... you do an awesome job with all your running! And a few days off as part of it all is important too...
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys. I'm actually very happy with my decision now. Let's hope the weather's nicer tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI have hope then; I picked up five on you today (even some barefoot on pavement while it was snowing). Now there's only a hundred and something more to go to be even with you for the year.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably give it all back tomorrow; we are on our way to having 16 inches of snow!
Hmmnn...you tried pretty hard to justify giving up 4 measly miles....You train hard enough so 4 miles is not going to make any difference. Don't feel guilty
ReplyDeleteNo beer for you!
