Saturday the TMs were running at Pinelands. I wished I could have joined them. Not only cause they are fun to run with, but my plan is to do a lot more training there in hopes of making my body like it better. Maybe if I gradually increase my mileage on that terrain, I won't have the IT band issues at the 50 that always seem to act up at the Pineland Challenge. Unfortunately for my running, we were heading out to visit friends in NH and I needed to get in a few miles here and head out. The fields were the best they've been in a long time - just in time to get rained on.
The weather today really isn't the best for running - 34 degrees, rainy, windy. Really lucky for me that this is my back-off week. I just had a 10 miler scheduled for today. I still put it off for a while even though the weather was not supposed to improve as the day went on. As usual, the hardest part was getting out the door. I enjoyed the run, happy with myself for getting not wimping out. My 9th mile was my fastest (downhill, wind to my back) and my feet didn't hurt till the end.
