Monday

Since yesterday's run was long and hard, I decided to run my flat course in Portland rather than the hilly Gorham loop. The wind still made it a somewhat challenging run. I know with an out-and-back it should come out in the wash, but... I covered 9 miles in 9:30's. Good recovery run.

I also tried on some VFF's pre- and post-run. Even after the run, with very grumpy big toe joints, the shoes felt pretty good. I think I'm going to use my $25 Maine Running Company rewards coupon towards a pair.

  1. Sweet! I'm sure you've heard all of the arguments in favor of VFF's, so I won't bother recanting them. Smart choice, just start slow.

  2. Yes. Start slow. I'm still hobbling around because of sore calves.; at least it is only because of sore muscles. It's almost as if I just took up a new sport.

  3. I'll try to go slow. I know I'll just want to wear them everywhere cause they are just so darn cool!
