New Year's Day Linda and I set out just before 2pm to run the fields. The snowmobile tracks were slightly greasy even with screw shoes. It was easier in some ways to run off the tracks, more traction mainly, but that had its own set of difficulties. The warm temps (31-33 during our run) were enough to make breakthrough into slush and water more likely than yesterday. I don't think I had dry feet very long.
It was a hard run, but very beautiful and rewarding. Linda stayed with me an hour. I ran for a little over 20 minutes more for a total of 7.5 miles. A good start for the new year.
