Julia and I put on the TM forum that we'd be running the Bradbury/Pineland Connector starting at 7:30 am. Not surprisingly there were no takers; lots of TMs had other things going, the biggest, badassedest being the 100 Mile Wilderness adventure.
I think it was the first time I ran with just Julia. I really enjoyed the run, the conversation, and the lack of bugs. That's a pretty good combination. We ran along the power lines till we hit Elmwood Rd, then retraced out tracks. We'd made sure to pick out a few landmarks to remember where the trail heads back into the woods; I'd told her how Mindy and I wandered around looking for it for quite some time.
Back in the parking lot, Yana was coming in from a Breaker loop! It was good to catch up with her a bit. The funny part was that I had just mentioned to Julia how Yana had helped me during the Bruiser last year by running the O with me. I think I would have backed off at that point if she hadn't joined me. So my PR is partly because of her.
