My run today reminded me of running last March. It was fairly warm, the snow was more like slush, and my feet were soaked before I'd run 1/4 mile. I had a blast. I'm glad I didn't listen to my yesterday self. After Friday's long run and the leg-trashing run yesterday at Thorncrag, I was convinced I needed a day off. I don't think that too often.
The family is headed to NJ to visit Rick's folks on Wednesday. That will be a day off. I don't have a pair of road shoes I'd run many miles in right now and trails are hard to come by down there. That all means my running might not be what I had in mind. That, along with night's sleep, made me eager to get out and run. 5 miles.
"I'm glad I didn't listen to my yesterday self" is my new favorite quote. Have a safe trip to NJ, we will run together soon!
ReplyDeleteHa, I like that too! Glad you got out for a fun run :-) We should try to catch up for a run when you get back from NJ. Maybe Mindy can join us too!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to run with you both when I get back. If we went to Bradbury, we'd get to eat at
ReplyDeleteEdna and Lucy's. If we ran at Fore River Sanctuary, we could eat at the Green Elephant. If we ran at Cathance, we could eat at the Frontier Cafe. If we ran at Thorncrag, we could eat at our Gritty's...
