Tapering at Thorncrag

The steep hills of Thorncrag usually prove a challenging workout.  To keep myself from working too hard (tapering, dontcha know!), I took lots of pictures.  I also wanted to capture its beauty.  The woods were just amazing;  the rain had made the tree trunks the most beautiful deep brown.  The bright, green of the new leaves were made even brighter in contrast.  What a place to run!  I got in nearly five miles.  I took a long time because of the photos, but my pace was decent when running.

Here a few of the pictures, along with a teeny snake on the edge of our patio and some pet shots:

  1. Beautiful! (Both the kitty and the shots of Thorncrag :-) ) There definitely is something about a rainy day to bring out the colors in the woods. We'll have to find a time to meet up there to run again! Looks gorgeous this time of year!
