Since my schedule for Wednesday only called for 10 miles, but I ran 14.8, I decided I could take Thursday off. Friday is my normal day off, so that would make two in a row! After running the miles on the Brad/Pineland Connector and then raking the South Ridge Trail with Mindy, two days seemed necessary.
When I woke up on Thursday, the cold wind made the damp day very dreary. I was still very happy thinking I wasn't running. As the day got older, the weather got nicer. By four o'clock, the sun was shining and the breeze was friendly. OK, I wanted to run. Instead of convincing myself that I really needed a day off, I convinced myself that I needed to run in warm weather. It would probably be warm at Pineland. I enjoyed every step of my 4.25 field miles.
