More of the Same

Tuesday's run was very much Monday's run, just 1.2 miles longer. First I strapped the snowshoes on and headed to the field, thinking I could at least get the main path packed. At least there were stretches that were nearly bare; the winds were really redistributing the snow. The areas where the snow was deposited were incredibly deep. After heading back to drop off the snowshoes, this time I headed back to the field to see if my newly "packed" path was runnable. Nope. I was able to run where the wind had cleared, not my snowshoed part. I was still sinking into too much sugary snow to even go at a pace the Garmin considered jogging. After one loop, I abandoned my efforts and headed back to the roads. I'm hoping the warmer weather that's on the way will be just enough of help pack down the snow without melting too much of it.
