Three-peat

Yesterday, Linda and I headed to Bradbury. When we pulled into the parking lot, Linda said it'd take her a couple of minutes to get her Injinji's on...Then she realized that she didn't bring her Inov8s (or any running shoe) with her. I was all set to drive home and just run there, but she felt bad about me driving to Bradbury for nothing so, with her assurance she'd enjoy a walk, I headed out on the Scuffle course. About 40 minutes in my cell phone rang; Linda was checking on my whereabouts and letting me know she'd been running the entire time....In her Crocs!

I ran just under 30 minutes and then retraced my steps rather than finish the Scuffle. That would have been over and hour and I would have gone through the water at the missing bridge again (not something I'm opposed to, but...). I told Linda I'd head back on the Link not Knights Woods. She met me there, still running! I ended up with just under 5 miles in 52 minutes.

Today we headed back along with a friend of Linda's rather new to trail running, though into hiking. Linda made sure she had her Inov8s with her several times. We did the entire Scuffle course. Linda's friend is going to be a good trail runner. She handled the singe track just fine and was okay with the missing bridge (it was only knee deep this time instead of mid-thigh like it was on Sunday - still).

So that makes three Bradbury run in three days! ITB still feeling fine : )
