It was such a beautiful morning. I just wasn't ready for a run when Rick went out around 11 am. Rick likes to get out early (yeah, I know 11 isn't really early), but I like to run later. The only times I run early is when it's a Trail Monster group run, I'm doing a really long run, or it's gonna be really, really hot. Mostly I like to wait till I'm running out of daylight. Otherwise I don't have it to look forward to - it's over.
By the time I ran, the day was starting to change. Gone was the bright sunshine; the clouds had won out. In fact, a slight drizzle had begun. I put on my trail shoes hoping to not sink too deeply in the muddy fields. I was pleasantly surprised to find, though there was definitely wetness and mud, the ground was pretty firm. In fact, I had to be careful not to turn an ankle on the hard clumps. It was kind of weird after running on snow the last couple of weeks.
The daylight and I lasted 47:17.
I am just the opposite.....if I don't get out early, the day will leave me behind and I usually won't get the run in....
ReplyDeleteREALLY?
ReplyDeleteI'm the same, but yesterday's run got to be so late that it will be today that I do it.
