Squeezed In
Wednesday, Mindy, Ian, and I went to the Pownal Elementary School for a meeting to firm up some plans for the Big Brad Ultras. Mindy and I thought we could squeeze in a few miles between work and the meeting. Amazingly, all the lights in Portland were routing for me, too. I made it to the Brad in record time and was able to get in a little over a mile before Mindy could get there. It was time to stop before we knew it. Had to rush off the mountain to get to the meeting on time. I felt like I could have run all night. Oh, well, we stopped for a good cause :D

You had the energy for sure! I would have wussed out and run on the East Side trails if you hadn't have been there, but you were on fire cruising up the mountain, pulled me up! :D
ReplyDeletewow, i had no idea you'd already run that day! the meeting was indeed a great one, complete with plenty of pterodactyls/turkeys and an one particularly evil dove. i think my heart rate may even return to normal by next week. according to my calculations, there was roughly 57% more shrieking and "EKK! ACCK!"ing than usual.
ReplyDeleteUnstrung, I didn't run with Mindy the same day as the IRS meeting. The confusion is because the day of the post is the same as the IRS. I remembered a lot of our adventure, but think I left out the mouse and porcupine :(
Deleteactually, the confusion is because I WROTE that Mindy and I ran wednesday. it was Tues.
