Xar and me. Yesterday, I met up with Xar to cover Thorncrag. We ran all the trails once for right about 5 miles. She commented on never having seen a bird at the bird sanctuary. Before the run was over, we saw a pileated woodpecker fairly close up. "Hah!", said the sanctuary. We were both appreciative of the beauty of the place in the midst of Lewiston. Of course, that also makes for drug trade, clandestine meetings, etc.
Today, we headed to Brad to get the Bruiser course marking underway. We flagged Lanzo, Island, Ragan, and Ginn (the outer, not inner portion). I was amazed at how humid it was on a seemingly bright, clear day. I was also amazed at how long it took to mark those miles. By the time we ran it in, we'd covered exactly six miles.
So, the Autumn of Awesomeness is awesome : )
and I thought you were going to say penis-shaped fungi
